New York-based artist Wayne Gonzales was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish.  His powerful exhibition of paintings, Light to Dark/Dark to Light opens this Friday, October 7th at the New Orleans Museum of Art from 6 to 9pm.The museum will host a public program featuring a discussion between Gonzales and curator Miranda Lash on Friday, December 9th at 6pm.

The new series includes “the fine art of repair” made throughout the CAC.

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art presents Mississippi Photographs, 1860s-Present. It takes a look back at 150 years of the state’s history and natural beauty through the lens of thirty-one photographers. The exhibition closes September 17th.
